Slovene Parliament Speaker to Back Involvement of National Parliaments on EU Future

Madrid, 8 June - Slovene Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor, who is attending a two-day conference of counterparts from EU member states and candidate countries in Madrid on Saturday, announced he would back on Sunday the proposal for a declaration, according to which the draft convention on the future of the EU would be discussed in national parliaments. "Still, such a decision should in no way slow down the EU enlargement," Pahor told STA.
