Slovenia and the EU to Set Up a Joint Consultative Committee

Ljubljana, 10 June - An advisory committee of Slovenia and the EU will convene for a constitutive session in Ljubljana on Tuesday. Set up under the Association Agreement, the body will associate Slovene economic and social interest groups and the European Economic and Social Committee (ESC). The joint committee's main objective is to get Slovene interest groups ready for later participation on the Economic and Social Committee, which has a consultative role in the EU structure.
