Delo: The Bitter Taste of Enlargement

Ljubljana, 11 June - Not until the end of October, at the EU's summit in Brussels, will it be clear whether the enlargement process is only a hostage of the political agenda in some member states (the September elections in Germany and Sweden and the composition of a new coalition in the Netherlands), or whether the disagreement on direct payments in agriculture is more a result of the 15-nation bloc scuffling on the backs of candidates, Delo wonders on Tuesday.
