Slovene Farmers Protest Against Current EU Agriculture Policy in Strasbourg

Strasbourg, 11 June - Slovene farmers are among several thousands of farmers from the EU members and the candidate countries in Strassbourg on Tuesday protesting against reforms of the common EU agriculture policy that would diminish the protection of European farmers. We do not agree with the agriculture policy pursued in the EU today and will no longer agree to any cuts of prices of agriculture products, said Peter Vrisk of the Slovene Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry, who attended today's protests.
