Slovene MPs Continue Harmonisation of the Acquis, then Pause to Watch Football

Ljubljana, 12 June - The Slovene parliament passed a number of acts in a fast-track procedure on Wednesday, which brought Slovenia's legislation one step closer to the acquis. However, after the afternoon break, too few MPs gathered in the assembly to satisfy the quorum. The sufficient number of MPs to continue the extraordinary session, which began on Tuesday, gathered only after the end of today's World Cup football match between Slovenia and Paraguay.
