8,000 Signatures Collected Against Slovenia's NATO Membership

Ljubljana, 12 June - Almost 8,000 signatures to support a consultative referendum on Slovenia's accession to NATO were collected by the Youth Forum of the coalition party United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) between 27 April and 31 May, was revealed at a press conference on Wednesday. "Chances that such a referendum before the invitation at the Prague summit would actually be held are low, but the signatures, nevertheless, exert some sort of pressure on the parliament," said president of the Youth Forum Luka Juri.
