Review of the Slovene Economy from 8 through 14 June

Ljubljana, 16 June - Slovenia and the EU failed to reach agreement on further liberalisation of trade with agricultural products at talks held on Tuesday, as the EU put forward unexpected conditions during the meeting, which the Slovene side still has to study. Quotas on agricultural goods in trade with Croatia headed talks between Slovene and Croatian agricultural ministers. Moreover, the government Institute for Macroeconomic Analyses and Development forecast that Slovene productivity growth would exceed that of wage growth in the upcoming two years.
