Retail and Wholesale Decrease in the First Quarter of the Year

Ljubljana, 17 June - Sales of Slovenia's retailers decreased 3.1 percent in the first quarter of the year compared to the last quarter of 2001, with sales revenues dropping by 3.5 percent. Wholesale, meanwhile, dropped 0.2 percent in the same period, recording a 0.9-percent decrease in revenues, provisional data released by the Slovene Statistical Office suggests.
