MPs Once Again Pass Bill on Return of Investments in Telecommunications Network

Ljubljana, 18 June - The act on the return of investments in the public telecommunications network, which had been adopted in mid-May but vetoed by the upper chamber of the Slovene parliament, was passed again on Tuesday in a 49:24 vote. Following the veto, the bill had to be passed with an absolute majority of votes. In line with the act, some 150,000 citizens, who paid more than others for their telephone connections between 1974 and 1995, will thus be refunded from 20 to 40 percent of their investments.
