Žalec, 22 June - "Slovenia remains among the front-runners for EU membership," Lojze Peterle, a Slovene MP representing EU candidates in the presidency of the Convention on the future makeup of the EU, reassured the delegates who gathered for a first conference of the opposition New Slovenia (NSi) on Saturday in the eastern Slovene town of Zalec.
