Drnovsek and European Commission Officials Confident About Prospects for EU Enlargement

Brussels, 24 June - There are no major problems on Slovenia's path to EU membership and the country has all the prospects for wrapping up the accession talks on time, namely by the end of this year, European Commission President Romano Prodi said following Monday's talks with Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek in Brussels. Drnovsek, who is paying his first visit to the European Commission in eight years, came out of the meeting with Prodi confident that the two sides will be able to find mutually satisfactory solutions in the final stage of EU accession negotiations.
