Outgoing Bonutti Says Holy See Hopeful of Early Ratification of Vatican Accord

Maribor, 26 June - The Vatican expects speedy ratification of the Vatican agreement, Karl Bonutti, Slovenia's outgoing ambassador to the Holy See, said in an interview published Wednesday by the Maribor-based daily Vecer. The implementation of the accord that regulates legal issues between Slovenia and the Holy See is "the wish of the Holy Father, the government and a majority of Slovenes", opinioned Bonutti, who paid a farewell visit to Pope John Paul II on Monday upon conclusion of his four years in office.
