Memorial Ceremony for Slovenes Shot in Rome During WWII

Rome, 26 June - A special commemoration was held in Rome on Wednesday in rememberance of the execution of 14 Slovene partisans, sentenced to death by an Italian special court for protection of the state in 1942. The memory of those killed 60 years ago at Bravetta fort in Rome was honoured by Edinost (Unity), an association of Slovenes from Trieste, in co-operation with TIGR, a Slovene resistance organisation which was set up in the Primorsko region before the WWII, the Italian partisan association and Italian association of victims of political persecution.
