Slovene Ministry of Economy Set on Cluster Development

Ljubljana, 26 June - Industrial clusters are a tool for improving productivity, encouraging innovation in companies and commercial use of these innovations, said Mateja Dermastia, State Undersecretary at the Ministry of the Economy. As research carried out by the ministry showed, the connections among the companies, which are essential for development of clusters, are weak in Slovenia and the supporting infrastructure for cluster development is still being built up. However, there exists a great development potential in companies.
