STA Coverage on Thursday, 27 June

Ljubljana, 26 June - The STA English service will cover the following events on Thursday, 27 June:

LJUBLJANA - The Slovene government is to hold its regular weekly session at which it is expected to discuss amendments to the military service act and the bill on the restructuring and privatisation of the Slovene Railways. The session is to be followed by a press conference, likely to take place at 2 PM.

BLED - The members of the first democratically-elected Slovene government are to meet for an extraordinary session that is to kick off at 5 PM. The members are expected to discuss the current status of the Slovene nation, the country and society, the future of Slovenia in the EU and NATO, as well as issues of Slovene national interest.

LJUBLJANA - Retired British general Jeremy Mackenzie, who is on a several-day visit to Slovenia, is due to meet with Slovene Defence Minister Anton Grizold. Talks are expected to focus on the current structure and gradual professionalization of the Slovene Armed Forces.
