Metal Industry With Bleak Outlook for Next Few Years

Ljubljana, 27 June - The Slovene metal industry created revenues in the amount of SIT 813.53bn (EUR 3.6bn), while they exported goods in the value of SIT 493bn (EUR 2.2bn) in 2001. The revenues in this branch of industry, which comprises 1,687 companies with 43,659 employees, increased in real terms from 2000, while the growth rate actually decreased by 6.6 percent compared to a year earlier.
