Europol Official Guest at Slovene Police Day Ceremony

Ljubljana, 27 June - Director General of Slovene police Marko Pogorevc and Interior Minister Rado Bohinc awarded the highest merits of Slovene police officers at a ceremony marking Slovene Police Day on Thursday. Bohinc acknowledged the police for its work, but also pointed out to some events that have shed a bad light on the police. The honorary guest at the ceremony was Europol Director Juergen Storbeck, who pointed out that Slovenia is the first EU candidate country to join Europol, police spokesman Miran Koren told STA.
