Slovenia's Economic Growth at 2.2 Percent in Q1

Ljubljana, 28 June - The value of the GDP, measured at constant 1995 prices, increased by 2.2 percent to SIT 695.7 billion (EUR 3bn) in the year to the first quarter, according to figures released by the National Statistical Office on Friday. GDP was down 0.4 percentage points in Q1 compared to the last quarter of 2001, when it stood at 2.6 percent. At current prices, the GDP rose by 12.1 percent to SIT 1,187 billion (EUR 5.25bn) in the first quarter of 2002.
