Minister Rop Discusses Banks Privatisation for Business Daily

Ljubljana, 29 June - Finance Minister Anton Rop deems that the biggest change on the Slovene financial market could be the arrival of the Belgian bank KBC in the largest Slovene bank Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB). "I hope there will be no downsides and that those who predicted them were wrong," he told Saturday's special edition of business daily Finance. The minister announced intensive preparations for the privatisation programme of the second bank Nova Kreditna banka Maribor (NKBM), while the state would also like to find a strategic partner for the Slovene Postal Bank (PBS).
