Slovenia Reiterates Support for One China after Dalai Lama's Visit

Ljubljana, 15 July - Slovenia has always supported the policy of one China, and the recent visit of the Dalai Lama to Slovenia, which was of a private, academic, and religious nature, has nothing to do with Slovenia's official policy, Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel told Monday Chinese Ambassador to Slovenia Xu Jian, the Foreign Ministry said. China officially protested when the Dalai Lama came to Slovenia the week before last, and was privately received by many senior Slovene officials.
