Sale of State-Owned Property to Be Speeded-Up in Coming Years

Ljubljana, 1 November - Voices in the EU calling for a speedier privatisation of state-controlled companies in Slovenia may soon grow quieter. Along with the supplementary 2003 budget and the 2004 budget bill, the government has sent into parliament a programme for the sale of state-owned property in 2003 and 2004, which anticipates the sell-off of stakes in some major companies.
