Slovenian Minority in Italy Promised Full Funding

Trieste, 4 November - The Italian Minister of Relations with the Parliament Carlo Giovanardi on Monday assured representatives of the Slovenian minority in Italy that there would be no cuts in state funding of minority organisations. The government proposal for the 2003 budget originally only anticipated funds of EUR 2.5m for the minority, 50 percent less than in past years.
