Final Phase of EU Negotiations Given Green Light

Ljubljana, 6 November - After more than two hours of discussions behind closed doors, the parliament's foreign policy committee gave the stamp of approval to the government's strategy for the final phase of EU accession negotiations. The negotiation mandate setting the guidelines and priorities for the negotiators, led by Europe Minister Janez Potocnik, was adopted last week by the government and unanimously confirmed today by the parliament, said chair of the commission Jelko Kacin.
