FM Rupel Downplays Polish Paper Allegations About NATO Membership

Ljubljana, 6 November - Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel downplayed allegations in a recent report of the Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza that Slovenia could be among three NATO candidate countries which may run into difficulties in their bids to join the Alliance. Rupel's response came during Wednesday's session of the parliamentary foreign policy committee which also touched upon various other issues, including the possibility of opening a Slovenian mission in Pristina.
