LJUBLJANA - More than 1.6 million voters will be electing a new president of Slovenia. Alongside the presidential elections, mayors and city councilors in 193 municipalities will be elected in local elections. Over 3,500 polling stations will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.

LJUBLJANA - First unofficial election results are expected to be released immediately upon the closure of polling stations at the press centre in Cankarjev dom. After these results are released, presidential candidates are expected to be available to give statements to the press.

LJUBLJANA - Results of two exit polls are expected to be broadcast by the national TV network Televizija Slovenija and commercial station POP TV upon the closure of polling stations.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's National Electoral Commission (RVK) is scheduled to give two press conferences, one at 12:30 PM and the other likely at 5 PM, to release the turnout figures.
