Central Bank Governor: EU Inflation Forecasts for Slovenia "Too High"

Ljubljana, 13 November - "It is difficult to comment since I'm not aware of the basis used to make this forecast," Bank of Slovenia governor Mitja Gaspari responded to Wednesday's release of the European Commission forecasts for inflation in Slovenia. However, the governor stressed that the 6.5 percent forecast for 2003 and 5.4 percent projection for 2003 is "by all means too high".
