LJUBLJANA - Polish Defence Minister Jerzy Szmajdzinski is to wrap up his two-day official visit to Slovenia. A statement to the press is expected at 11 AM.

PORTOROZ - A two-day Telecommunications 2002 conference, a third of its kind, is to begin, with head of the Telecommunications Agency Nikolaj Simic speaking about Slovenia's telecommunications market in view of the country's EU membership. A panel on telecommunications in SE Europe is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

NOVA GORICA - A two-day conference on business crime and corruption is to kick off. Attendance of heads of the national office for money-laundering prevention and the anti-corruption office is also expected.

LJUBLJANA - The government, convening for its regular weekly session, is to discuss the national strategy of active employment in 2003.
