Transporters of Illegal Immigrants Face Stricter Sanctions

Ljubljana, 20 November - In addition to being fined for human trafficking, transporters of illegal immigrants to Slovenia will from now have to pay for the damage and costs incurred by the state as a consequence of illegal migrations. The measure was introduced following the changes to the act on foreigners in an attempt to curb illegal migration and crack down on those who provide transport to people with no proper documents and residence permits.
