Situation in Slovenian-Owned Macedonian Publisher Still Tense

Maribor/Skopje, 20 November - Some 1,400 employees of Macedonia's largest publishing house NIP Nova Makedonija and the new majority owners, a group of Slovenian companies called Jug storitve, remain divided over how to solve the crisis in the company. While the workers went on strike on 6 November to demand better pay and an audit of the purchase contract, Jug storitve urged the Slovenian government to protect the interests of Slovenian capital.
