NATO Summit: Invitation Must Be Followed by Referendum, SMS Says

Ljubljana, 21 November - The invitation to join NATO is "part of the procedure of Slovenia's integration into the Alliance", said head of a parliamentary party that has not yet pronounced its stance on NATO. According to SMS leader Dominik Cernjak, the next step must be a referendum, which however should not coincide with a referendum on the country's EU membership.
