Slovenia or Slovakia?

Ljubljana, 22 November - In the past decade, Slovenia has often been confused with another country that emerged at the end of the Cold War, Slovakia. Since its independence, Slovenian officials have poured much effort into raising Slovenia's global profile. The invitation to join NATO received by Slovenia on Thursday was expected to aid these efforts. Nevertheless, foreigners, including major global media outlets still have trouble distinguishing between the two.
