25,000 People Evacuated as Rescue Services Conduct N-Plant Drill

Krško, 23 November - A total of 25,000 people were evacuated from their homes as emergency services carried out a simulation of an accident at the Nuclear Power Plant Krsko (NEK) on Saturday. Authorities claim the 12-hour drill, which was designed to test and improve the readiness of emergency services in dealing with a nuclear accident at Slovenia's only nuclear plant, was a success.
