Implementation of Minority Protection Act at Risk Due to Boycott of the Centre-Right

Trieste, 25 November - Six members of the parity committee, a body which is tasked to set the territory on which Italy will be implementing the act protecting the Slovenian ethnic minority, has announced it would boycott future sessions. Since the committe can work only if at least half of the members representing the minority and majority, respectively, are present, a lack of quorum is likely to block its work.
