Central Bank Abolishes Discount Rate

Ljubljana, 27 November - The Slovenian central bank said Wednesday it was abolishing the discount rate, since the new central bank act no longer demands that it be set. The Bank of Slovenia council, which adopted the decision, also said that contracts involving the discount rate should now use the loan rate less one percentage point.
