Slovenia Signs Agreement to Take Part in EU Civil Protection Mechanism
Brussels, 28 November - Slovenia has signed a memorandum of understanding with the European Commission on participation in the Civil Protection Mechanism, which is set to take effect on 1 January 2003. Six other EU candidate countries also signed the memorandum on Thursday in Brussels, as part of the Commission's Civil Protection Forum, the Slovenian Defence Ministry said.
