Procedure for Obtaining Citizenship Made Simpler by New Amendments

Ljubljana, 30 November - Amendments to the Slovenian citizenship act have taken effect, introducing a number of novelties facilitating the aquisition of citizenship. Persons who were in Slovenia on the day of the independence referendum, 23 December 1990, and have been living in the country ever since, have one year to apply for citizenship at the Interior Ministry.
