Simsic Wants Closer Connection Between Regions and the EU

Brussels, 13 February - Local communities and regions need a stronger connection with the EU, as this would benefit the regions immensely, said Ljubljana mayor Danica Simsic on Thursday in Brussels, where she is taking part in a two-day plenary meeting of the EU Committee of the Regions. "The local communities want to be directly involved in the formation of the European legislation even at an early stage," Simsic stressed in her address.
