STA Coverage on Wednesday, 19 February

Ljubljana, 18 February - The STA English service will cover the following events on Wednesday, 19 February:

BRUSSELS - The European Commission is to give its opinion on the EU Accession Treaty with ten future members of the Union, including Slovenia. Meanwhile, the European Parliament is to begin the procedure of giving consent to the accession of ten future members.

LJUBLJANA - Chair of the Assembly of the Western European Union Jan Dirk Blaauw is to meet with PM Anton Rop at 12:35 PM. As part of his three-day visit to Slovenia, the official is also to meet Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor at 10:45 AM.

BRNIK - Flag carrier Adria Airways is to present its business results and a new aircraft purchased from Bombardier at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Retailer Mercator is to hold a press conference at 1 PM presenting 2002 business results and plans for the future.

LJUBLJANA - EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere and Slovenian Minister for Regional Development Zdenka Kovac are to attend a conference on structural funds as an opportunity for Slovenia at 2 PM.
