Series of Events to Lead Slovenia's Peace Messenger City into UN Day

Slovenj Gradec, 16 October - The northern city of Slovenj Gradec, which the UN General Assembly proclaimed Peace Messenger City in 1989, is to mark the UN Day on 24 October with numerous cultural, sport and entertainment events from Sunday until next Friday. The city is to host the main celebration on the eve of the UN Day, which is to be addressed by Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor.
