Klestil: Division of Europe Finally Over With Slovenia Entering EU

Klagenfurt, 17 October - The two-day 16th European Congress of ethnic groups, dubbed "Carinthia-Slovenia, a Troubled Border in a New Europe", began in the city of Klagenfurt in Austrian Carinthia on Thursday and closed today. At yesterday's opening, Austrian President Thomas Klestil pointed out that Austria welcomes Slovenia's joining the EU because "the division of Europe is thus finally over".
