Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 11 to 17 October
Ljubljana, 18 October - The main foreign policy event last week was the Brussels summit of EU member states and acceding countries, which was attended by PM Anton Rop and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel on behalf of Slovenia. Meanwhile, Slovenian scholars, politicians, the civil society and businesspeople discussed Slovenia's future foreign policy at home. Bilateral visits last week included President Janez Drnovsek's visit to Bratislava and the visit by Slovak Parliament Speaker Pavol Hrusovsky to Ljubljana. Slovenian Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor with a delegation paid a visit to Romania.
