Ljubljana, 26 October - Slovenia's largest grocery chain Mercator is celebrating its 54th birthday on Sunday. Since its humble beginnings in 1949 under the name Zivila Ljubljana, Mercator has transformed into a giant with 1,054 shops and a market share of over 40 percent in Slovenia.
