STA Coverage on Tuesday, 28 October

LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to continue its regular session for October. On the agenda for first discussion is the bill on erased persons, while lawmakers will also debate the bill on hunting and game administration.

BRDO PRI KRANJU - Austrian and Italian interior ministers Ernst Strasser and Giuseppe Pisanu are to arrive in Slovenia ahead of Wednesday's launch of the third regional ministerial conference on illegal migrations and crime. Interior Minister Rado Bohinc is to meet first with Strasser, with whom he will sign an agreement on police co-operation. Later all three ministers are to examine the possibility of implementing simplified border procedures after Slovenia joins the EU.

LJUBLJANA - Irish Agriculture Minister Joe Walsh is to begin a two-day visit to Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce is to raise the flags of the fifteen current EU members, ten future members and the EU in front of its building. The ceremony will be attended by head of the European Commission delegation in Slovenia Erwan Fouere, Agriculture Minister Franci But and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel.
