Central Bank Urges for Prompt Euro-Zone Integration

Ljubljana, 28 October - Slovenia's central bank believes that the country should seek prompt integration into the European Rate Mechanism (ERM 2) so that Slovenia would become part of the euro-zone preparatory phase by the end of 2004. This should be followed by the introduction of the euro in early 2007, Bank of Slovenian governor Mitja Gaspari told the press on Tuesday.
