Lisbon Goal Completely Unrealistic, Leading Economist Tells Delo

Ljubljana, 30 October - The Lisbon strategy's aim to see Europe become the world's most competitive economy by 2010 are completely unrealistic, a leading Slovenian economist has told daily Delo. Mojmir Mrak, a professor at the Economics Faculty and an authority on global economics, explained that Europe cannot be turned around so significantly in five to six years.
