No More Coal for Households from Velenje Mine

Velenje, 30 October - The Velenje coal mine will no longer sell coal for households, as all the coal will be shipped only to major consumers, most notably the nearby Sostanj thermoelectric power plant. The company decided to make the move due to falling sales, which dropped from one million tonnes in 1986 to 30,000 tonnes last year.
