Bark Beetles Continue to Wreak Havoc

Ljubljana, 30 October - In the worst attack since 1994, bark beetles have destroyed over 293,000 cubic metres of wood, mainly spruce, until the end of September, the Slovenian Institute for Forestry said on Thursday, adding that the damage has already exceeded one billion tolars (EUR 4.2m).
