Ljubljana, 4 November - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 5 November:

LJUBLJANA, Slovenia/BRUSSELS, Belgium - The European Commission is to issue comprehensive monitoring reports for the ten acceding countries, among them Slovenia. Before its official presentation, EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere is scheduled to hand over the document for Slovenia to PM Anton Rop at 11:00 AM local time. The official presentation will be broadcast from the European Parliament in Brussels at Center Evropa, the delegation's headquarters in Slovenia, at 3:00 PM. Fouere and Slovenian Europe Minister Janez Potocnik are to be on hand. A press conference by the two officials is to follow at 3:30 PM. The report is also expected to be commented on by other Slovenian political and business officials. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The National Council, the upper chamber of the Slovenian parliament, is to decide on whether to veto a technicalities act on citizens of the former Yugoslavia erased from Slovenia's population register in 1992 that parliament adopted on 29 October. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The opposition Slovenian National Party (SNS) is to hold a press conference touching on issues concerning the erased citizens.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Chief of Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces Major General Ladislav Lipic is to attend a meeting of EU army chiefs.

LJUBLJANA - The economic and social council, a body representing the social partners, is to debate the proposed health reform, starting at 10:00 AM.

LJUBLJANA - A leading Kosovar intellectual Adem Demaci is to hold a lecture on the current situation in Kosovo at 5:00 PM. (STA)

CELJE - Hungarian petrol company MOL is set to hold a press conference at 11:00 AM to mark the opening of three new filling stations in Slovenia. (STA)

GRAZ - Invited by the regional government of Austria's Styria and the Economics Institute of the Vienna Technical University, Slovenian Finance Minister Dusan Mramor is to participate at a round table debating Slovenia's EU entry.

LJUBLJANA - Justice Minister Ivan Bizjak, State Secretary Marko Starman and pre-accession advisor Norman Manfred Doukoff are due to present the conclusions of twinning projects aimed at modernising Slovenia's justice system.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition New Slovenia (NSi) is to present its views on Slovenia's motorway construction program.

KRSKO - A round table discussing ways to speed up the resolution of problems faced by the Romany community in Slovenia in education, employment and housing is to be put on by a local association. The debate is begin at 9:00 AM.

PORTOROZ - Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor and the president of the Chamber of Commerce Jozko Cuk are to raise the curtain (9.30 AM) on the 12th annual conference of the Slovenian Quality Association (SQA).

BLED - A forum on ways to protect shareholders is to be staged by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, the government's corruption watchdog and the IEDC Business School at Bled.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian biathlon team is to hold a press conference at 10:30 ahead of the new season.
