Central Bank Governor Can Retire in 2007, Mramor Tells Round Table

Graz, 6 November - "Slovenia is expected to adopt the euro by the end of 2007. From then on Slovenian monetary policies will be directed from Brussels, meaning that the Bank of Slovenia governor can retire, while everything will be even more dependent on fiscal policies that are led by the finance minister," Slovenian Finance Minister Dusan Mramor told a round table on the effects of Slovenia's EU membership held in Austria's Graz on Wednesday.
