BRDO PRI KRANJU - Government officials from the CEFTA signatory countries are to meet for a plenary session at 9:30 AM to assess the organisation's operation and its future. The summit will end with the signing of a joint declaration and a press conference at 3:30 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Chairman of the EU Military Committee, General Gustav Haegglund is to arrive for a five-day official visit at the invitation of the Chief-of-Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Major General Ladislav Lipic. He is to be received by Defence Minister Anton Grizold at 10:10 AM and President Janez Drnovsek at noon.
VIENNA, Austria - Culture Minister Andreja Rihter is to leave for a two-day visit to Austria, during which she is to donate to the Austrian national library in Vienna a bundle of Slovenian works of fiction on the occasion of the Days of Slovenian Literature.

ROME, Italy - Chair of the parliamentary defence committe Rudolf Petan is to attend a meeting of his counterparts from the EU member states, acceding countries and the European Parliament.
LJUBLJANA - An international conference on health care and patients' mobility in the enlarged EU is to open at 9:15 AM, at which over 200 participants are to discuss health care challenges of future EU members.
LJUBLJANA - The National Statistical Office is to release the September import and export data.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary economics committee is to discuss the implementation of technology policy with Swedish officials at 9 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The opposition New Slovenia (NSi) will hold a press conference at 11:30 AM to comment on the current events concerning Croatia.
